The Beauty of Mathematics: A Look at UXPin’s New Engine
The new UXPin is almost here. We take a look under the hood to examine the new engine that drives our platform.
For some of us, math was a dreaded subject. For others, however, it’s a means of expression. In the hands of those skilled engineers, math can seem like wizardry. They can create such beauty from numbers.
When it came time to overhaul what’s under the hood of UXPin, we took our inspiration from mathematics. It provided the very foundation of our newer, faster engine. Certain actions will run 30× faster in the redesigned UXPin. And the engine will help fuel our new features, such as zoom and nested groups.
Jarek Sawicki, one of our engineers, explains in this short video on how mathematics played a key role in the development of our new engine.
